Pulsar · Field guide · No. 30 · The whole field guide as one system — the four layers, the order to build them in, and the loop that compounds.

Putting It All Together

Thirty lectures, one repeatable machine: measure clean, feed the algorithm strong signal, test creative relentlessly, scale what wins, and recover what leaks — on a 90-day loop.

01

A machine, not a hack

There’s no single trick in this whole guide — there’s a system, four layers deep, that compounds. Skip a layer and the ones above it wobble. Build them in order and growth stops being luck.

Everyone wants the tactic. The advantage is the system — because almost nobody builds it in order.
02

Layer 1 — measure clean

You can’t improve what you miscount. First, make the data honest: bots out (09), pixel + CAPI, high match quality, domain verified, every link tagged.

03

Layer 2 — feed the algorithm

Give the auction (27) strong signal: optimize on an event you have volume for, seed lookalikes on buyers, and close the loop with offline/CRM value.

04

Layer 3 — the creative engine

Creative is where cost is won or lost. Test one variable at a time, lead with the hook, kill on evidence, and keep the pipeline full so you’re never caught with a fatigued winner.

05

Layer 4 — scale & recover

Scale winners gently (or go wide), retarget the warm crowd you already paid for, and exclude buyers everywhere. Don’t forget the page — half the funnel lives after the click.

06

The loop that compounds

CadenceDo this
Weeklythe health read — frequency, CTR, CPA vs target (19, 01)
Monthlyreconcile Meta vs your real sales (11); run the 30-day health check (10)
Quarterlyre-map the funnel and rebuild the seed — the biggest leak moves once you fix it (07)
07

Where to start

Fix measurement first. Everything downstream inherits its errors.
Then signal, then creative, then scale — in that order.
Run the loop. Small, honest improvements compound faster than any hack.

Measurement first — it’s the one idea under all thirty lectures, and it’s what makes everything after it actually work. That’s the whole field guide.
